The Gosford Challenge
The Gosford Challenge aims to develop and grow Gosford as a world class waterfront regional city, within greater Sydney.
The Challenge
The project coordinators needed a way to keep the community up to date on the fast paced developments happening with The Gosford Challenge. The brief was to provide a custom content management system that could be easily managed by a number of staff spread across multiple departments and each having a unique set of permissions.
The project also called for a range of additional features such as galleries, news and events, custom polls with reporting, public and private downloads and a clean user friendly interface.
The Result
The project has been a great success for The Gosford Challenge team in allowing them to spread the word quickly and effectively. The Central Coast community has used the site to find out valuable information on the project including plans, events and photos, the website has also given the community a voice in the development of a Masterplan for the Gosford City region.
Throughout the life of the website there has been many additions and updates as the project has evolved, all of these updates and add-ons were made possible through our BigCMS modular platform which allows for custom components to be developed efficiently and cost effectively.
The Gosford Challenge has taken a community inspired vision and created a community informed Masterplan for Gosford City Centre. This Masterplan is the blue print for the regional city the Central Coast deserves. Communication has been key to the success of The Gosford Challenge. The Gosford Challenge won the RH Dougherty award for Excellence in Communication. This is the highest accolade a Council can receive in the area of communications. Our Website www.thegosfordchallenge.com.au has been a key platform in our communication strategy. The systems developed by Big Click for our website have allowed us to regualrly inform interested community members about our progress as well as receive and post feedback from the community.
